A Day in the Life of a Mom-Herbalist

This daily blog has been about the struggles of juggling motherhood with being a full-time student for the first eight months of its existence.  I still share some of my life now that I've graduated but I also share information each day on herbs that I've learned along this journey.   While my herbariums are listed for free membership, I provide four fields from them in my blog: Constituents (the active ingredients of the herbs), the therapeutic actions (Examples are expectorant and stimulant), indications (colds, skin rashes, emphysema, etc), and safety information. More information can be found in the herbariums but these are the most important educational fields.  I also share scientific studies to help educate people who think there are no studies showing herbs work.

Membership to this site is free.

Breakfast is done. The kids are happy for now.  They both ate my veggies this morning. I'm thinking flavor is not the issue but it needs to be soft enough for their gums to get through.  I didn't get any of my carrots again.  My son actually ate broccoli for the first time!  I also was able to put food directly in his mouth!  He has decided it's fun to feed mommy so I guess if it's okay for him to feed me, I can feed him.  I like him being able to figure that out!  Smart little boy.  I need to do dishes still and find the floor in my daughter's room.  I know there is one but I can't see it anywhere.  I might donate some of the stuffed animals that they don't play with.  Save myself a few items to pick up!I also got to read 3 and a half pages in my toxicology text book this morning!  I woke up at 6 am, before that actually.  That's when I threw in the towel and accepted I was awake and decided it was a perfect time to accomplish something.  I threw diapers in the drier. Expanded their chalkboard wall then sat down and read.  My son woke up first and we had lots of cuddles even while I read a bit then he wanted me to play with his farm book with him.  He things it's great the book plays noises and he's still trying to find the buttons.  This is the second copy of the book.  My daughter destroyed many books. She and I have been very good at keeping them from him to prevent further destruction but they both have their favorites.  He only likes the interactive ones so getting him to read when he gets older may be a challenge.  I'm sure I can get his attention.  I bought an adorable book by John Cena that is right up his alley.  He's just too little for it right now.  Well, time to get things done.  I did get that assignment done yesterday.  I need to work on next week's assignments so I can try to do better on the quiz for toxicology.  Love and Light!

On to mullein!
