A Day in the Life of a Mom-Herbalist

This daily blog has been about the struggles of juggling motherhood with being a full-time student for the first eight months of its existence.  I still share some of my life now that I've graduated but I also share information each day on herbs that I've learned along this journey.   While my herbariums are listed for free membership, I provide four fields from them in my blog: Constituents (the active ingredients of the herbs), the therapeutic actions (Examples are expectorant and stimulant), indications (colds, skin rashes, emphysema, etc), and safety information. More information can be found in the herbariums but these are the most important educational fields.  I also share scientific studies to help educate people who think there are no studies showing herbs work.

Membership to this site is free.

Today marks 2 weeks left of school.  I'm slowly making progress despite children misbehaving and preventing me from doing school work.  It's especially difficult when I spend hours trying to figure out a food my daughter is willing to eat for lunch...  My book entry is sitting at 30 pages and my paper is sitting at 29 pages.  I might be able to get it to 30 pages if I can actually get those other studies put in there.  If so, I'll color it done and make sure my formatting is correct then turn it in.  I don't see my children allowing me to put the work in that I need to for a perfect grade.

On the bright side, I made oatmeal this morning in accordance with Fallon's recipe (sort of) and will be sharing my version on my diet page when I can.  Since I decided not to do full raw food, I'll change the name to just "diet".  My son devoured the oatmeal and tried to eat his sister's oatmeal but dropped the bowl on the floor and lost it all.  My son also enjoyed acorn squash.  My daughter, on the other hand, refused to try both dishes.  My picky eater...  Just like her mommy used to be...

Love and Light!

These pages are also linked on the Herbal Lists page but this is the list of things that get discussed more frequently so I added the link here.
