A Day in the Life of a Mom-Herbalist

This daily blog has been about the struggles of juggling motherhood with being a full-time student for the first eight months of its existence.  I still share some of my life now that I've graduated but I also share information each day on herbs that I've learned along this journey.   While my herbariums are listed for free membership, I provide four fields from them in my blog: Constituents (the active ingredients of the herbs), the therapeutic actions (Examples are expectorant and stimulant), indications (colds, skin rashes, emphysema, etc), and safety information. More information can be found in the herbariums but these are the most important educational fields.  I also share scientific studies to help educate people who think there are no studies showing herbs work.

Membership to this site is free.

It's been a busy day and I have not even gotten any school work done yet. Dishes done, 2 meals one, clothes washing, child had a nap, the other child woke him while I was going to the bathroom...  At least he can get his lunch now. Dinner is cooking in the crockpot. I think my friend went to work without bringing me her daughter's car seat.  I think I need to go over there. Hubby called to let me know he won't be home before Tuesday so we are moving the party.  This is why inviting people is difficult...  You can plan to be home by a certain time but the loads like to change your plans for you. It's all good.  I ordered her another balloon so this give more time for it to get here before the party!  Her plates and napkins are all here.  Apparently my son was hungry.  He's devouring his peach. When he's done, we'll try to catch up to my friend at the store. I tried to buy my own booster seat for her before and they were out.  Maybe I should look again. I need to be able to transport her safely without worry mom will get really busy and forget. He's done eating so I'm going to leave this here.  I need to have a seat in hand before I get her off the bus and that clock is ticking!

On to the constituents of Siberian ginseng!

After I spent a lot of time reducing the list to things I have not talked about, the list is quite short but none of these are in Hoffman.  I'll look through Ganora tomorrow.

Constituents: ciwujianosides, eleutherans, isofraxidin (a coumarin derivative), syringin, sesamin, and friedelin.

Have a Great Day!

These pages are also linked on the Herbal Lists page but this is the list of things that get discussed more frequently so I added the link here.
