A Day in the Life of a Mom-Herbalist

This daily blog has been about the struggles of juggling motherhood with being a full-time student for the first eight months of its existence.  I still share some of my life now that I've graduated but I also share information each day on herbs that I've learned along this journey.   While my herbariums are listed for free membership, I provide four fields from them in my blog: Constituents (the active ingredients of the herbs), the therapeutic actions (Examples are expectorant and stimulant), indications (colds, skin rashes, emphysema, etc), and safety information. More information can be found in the herbariums but these are the most important educational fields.  I also share scientific studies to help educate people who think there are no studies showing herbs work.

Membership to this site is free.

The picture above comes from the images from my class lessons.

After breakfast this morning, my daughter (3 years old) decided to explain to my son (will be 2 at the end of the month) the things he was seeing outside.  It was adorable watching her point and explain in jibberish what he was seeing.  I did hear things like leaf and tree so obviously the rabbit and squirrels were not active at the time. It would have been more animated.

I'm still working on the site, taking away the word documents and making them into actual web pages.  All I have left are the herbariums. I'm doing two a day so it will take me a bit. I will do the same with my other writings, putting a "read more here" link so there isn't so much scrolling if a person decided they aren't interested in the one story, they can easily get to the next.  It will make it more friendly to mobile readers. This will also make it the functionality I wanted to begin with.

In the builders tools, the "read more here" is only an option on the blog side so it's a good thing I know how to do it! I will NOT make this change on the blog page, however. At least not while I'm still talking about personal things. If I get feedback saying not to do this first part, then that function can be added to the herbal only posts.  The feedback I get is that people enjoy reading this format at the moment.  If that changes, then changes will be made.

New herb tomorrow! Love and Light!

On to the constituents of damiana!

None of these are in Ganora so they will remain on the "need to learn about" list.

hexacosanal
5-hydroxy-7,3,4-trimethoxyflavone
hydroquinone glycosides
luteolin 8-C-E-propenoic acid
tetraphyllin B
terpenoids
cryophylene
cadinene

Have a Great Day!

These pages are also linked on the Herbal Lists page but this is the list of things that get discussed more frequently so I added the link here.
