Crouch Writing Gallery

Welcome to my web site. I have many things I like to write about. My daily blog "A Day In The Life of a Mom/Herbalist" has been about my life while studying herbalism.  Each post is generally split, a bit about my day, struggles, etc and the bottom half is data I learned while in school. Though I have graduated, I will continue discussing herbs whether scientific studies or an update in my experience growing herbs and vegetables.

The tabs Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Poetry currently are writings from when I was earning my English degree.  I continue to add to the poetry page and do plan to add more once time allows. The Herbal List page helps sort out information that is explained in my blog. This is where you'll find my list of sources.

Free membership grants access to my herbariums as well as information and a couple recipes on the diet I'm doing. For those who don't know, an herbarium is the notes an herbalists take on the herbs they have studied. Here, you will find information such as the therapeutic actions, constituents, indications, some formulas on the use of each herb, safety information, research, labs I have done with each herb, etc.

I think there is a little bit of everything here so enjoy!

This is my rosemary plant that is being invaded by a blackberry vine.  It just rained and she always discolors with the rain.

This is my thyme plant nestled in between rosemary and lavender.

This is lavender looking really pitiful after the rain.

This is spearmint with the sharper leaves on the right being peppermint.  Those yellow-green leaves in the lower right are ginger.

Again, spearmint on the left, then peppermint, then the long wide "grass" is ginger.

Aloe and the other pot has rhubarb.  It usually loses its leaves for summer and regrows them for fall.  Clover likes to hang out in the pot with it.
